Happy New Year

Goodbye 2023, Hello 2024! Here are some of the last snaps of 2023 and my first snaps of 2024.

Started on some resolutions before the end of the year, including increasing my daily step count. I usually bring the converted camera along to practice seeing in infrared.

This area almost turned into Waikiki 2.0. Glad those plans of Henry Kaiser didn’t pan out. Imagine how many shark nibbles there would have been if tourists invaded these waters.

Photographing some of the natives. One of my goals for the year is to photograph a collection of native plants in IR.

The hiking trails were heavily trafficked on New Year’s day.

Hanauma Bay and Koko Crater

Conditions were pretty good for whale-watching. Got lucky and saw one cruise by.

Don’t forget to pack your tinfoil hat when you do this hike.

Palm trees and shallow water false color render nicely.
